ATLANTA–Sionic Mobile today announced that Phil Gura, Esq. has been named Chief Legal Officer and Executive Director of Fuel Retail. He is responsible for managing relationships with the Company’s outside law firms, for addressing all legal and compliance matters and for developing business relationships in the fuel retail channel. Sionic Mobile is the provider of the fast-growing Mobile Rewards Marketplace™ and ION Commerce Engine™ (ICE) mobile loyalty and payments platform.
Gura joins Sionic Mobile from Merchant Customer Exchange (MCX) where he was its Chief Legal Officer and Head of Government Relations. MCX focused on providing more efficient mobile commerce solutions for merchants, consumers and financial institutions. Gura has previously worked with major corporations in the Southeast including RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc. and LaRoche Industries, Inc.

Gura’s specialties include corporate law, M&A, procurement, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory compliance, finance, supply and distribution, creation and protection of intellectual property, corporate governance, litigation management, and preparation/approval of policies/ procedures. He earned his law degree at Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University. He has been named one of Georgia’s Top Rated Lawyers and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer numerous times.
